What is Durolane?
Durolane is a transparent gel that contains high levels of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occuring molecule that provide lubrication and cushioning in a normal joint. One simple injection of Durolane has been shown to provide relief for up to 6 months.
How is Durolane administered?
Durolane is injected directly into your knee joint by your physician. A treatment course consists of one 3 ml (syringe) injection per knee joint. Precaution should be taken if a patient has venous or lymphatic stasis in the leg. Durolane has not been tested in pregnant or lactating women or in children.
